Madonna will be the new face of Louis Vuitton, the French Luxury house announced on Thursday. After attending one of Madonna's 'Sticky & Sweet' shows, designer Marc Jacobs, who is also behind the latest Louis Vuitton collection, asked Madonna if she'd like to take part in this new adventure. "I'd love to" answered the one and only Material Girl.

Asked about the concept behind the campaign, Jacobs explains that he wanted for it to "be very bold, very sensual and very atmospheric. To carry this off, we needed the ultimate performer - and for me, that is Madonna".

Photographed by Madonna's long-time friend Steven Meisel in a smoky 1940s French-style bar, the 6 ads campaign will launch next February worldwide.
